007's Uncertain Future 🍸

It turns out the next 007 adventure is barely a blip on the radar. Barbara Broccoli, one of the Bond producers, said they haven't even started plotting the next chapter.

It's been two years since Daniel Craig retired as Bond in "No Time to Die," and there's a growing awareness that the next Bond needs to reflect the changes the world has seen over these two decades.

In an interview with The Guardian, Broccoli emphasized the need to reinvent the character, harking back to the "GoldenEye" days when everyone thought Bond was obsolete because the Cold War had ended. How wrong they were!

The Bond franchise might have been bought by Amazon in 2021, but Broccoli made it clear that future Bond movies are meant for the big screen.

In the meantime, Amazon is launching a Bond-themed show called "007: Road to a Million," where contestants will tackle Bond-inspired challenges for a chance to win £1 million.

“Flower Moon” Outshines “Eras Tour” 💰

In the international box office showdown, Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon" starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro outshone Taylor Swift's "The Eras Tour."

Scorsese's epic crime drama raked in $21 million from 63 international markets, while Swift's concert film earned $10.5 million in its second weekend, with a total of $164.78 million worldwide.

The film found success in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and Spain, similar to past hits like "Ford v. Ferrari."

"Killers of the Flower Moon" is an adaptation of David Grann's 2017 novel, depicting a crime mystery set in the 1920s when oil was discovered on Osage nation's land.

Apple funded this $200 million project, and it's part of their strategy to combine a significant theatrical run before moving to streaming.

This approach helps boost the film's overall value. Other big-screen releases from Apple include Ridley Scott's "Napoleon" and Matthew Vaughn's "Argylle."

Blumhouse Making a Superhero Movie? 😳

Jason Blum, the guy behind Blumhouse Productions, is giving the "Spawn" movie a unique twist. At New York Comic Con 2023, Blum spilled the beans on this upcoming superhero adaptation.

He's planning to make "Spawn" edgy and original, setting it apart from your typical superhero blockbuster. He wants it to be the "Blumhouse version" of a superhero film.

That's a bold promise, given Blumhouse's reputation for pushing the boundaries in horror.

The original comic creator, Todd McFarlane, is writing and directing the film, and he's teaming up with Blum on the production side.

In this dark tale, Jamie Foxx will take on the role of Al Simmons, also known as Spawn, a character with some pretty intense powers and a complex backstory.

“Yellowstone” Extends Stay on CBS 🤠

CBS is giving fans more of the hit series "Yellowstone." They're going to air the show's second season on Sunday nights.

The show, created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson, and starring Kevin Costner, has been a big hit. It first landed on CBS in September and has been pulling in around 5.49 million viewers per episode.

In fact, it's been the most-watched entertainment show on Sunday nights at the start of this TV season, and over half of CBS's audience for "Yellowstone" is new to the series.

What's interesting is that even though the show's most recent season aired on the Paramount Network in 2022, it was one of the most-watched shows on TV, for the 2022-23 season.

CBS added it to their fall schedule after they had to adapt due to strikes by writers and actors.
