AI-Powered Edith Piaf Biopic π€

Warner Music is teaming up with Seriously Happy to create an animated biopic of iconic French singer Edith Piaf using AI technology.
Piaf's estate is on board with the project. They've already made a proof of concept and are looking for a studio partner to bring it to life.
The AI tech will recreate Piaf's voice and image by training on old voice clips and images.
The 90-minute film, called "Edith," will showcase Piaf's life between Paris and New York from the 1920s to the 1960s.
It aims to authentically capture her spirit, achievements, and performances using her original songs and archival footage. The goal is to connect with new audiences while respecting Piaf's legacy.
The film will reveal aspects of Piaf's life previously unknown, highlighting her resilience and defiance of social norms.

Amazon wants the UK to step up its game by reforming things like the apprenticeship levy and simplifying planning laws to make more room for studios.
Even though Amazon's been big on shooting in the UK, they're cautioning the government to stay competitive or risk losing out.

The movie dives into the struggles of the American Samoa soccer team, with Michael Fassbender playing the coach, Thomas Rongen.
Taika, pulling triple duty as writer, director, and producer, is all about putting Pacific Islanders and indigenous folks front and center.
Michael Fassbender jumped on board for the good vibes of the human story.
And Jaiyah Saelua, the first trans footballer in FIFA World Cup qualifying, digs the film's take on trans realities, despite a few worries.
