Neon Announces “They Follow” Sequel 🌫️

Neon is back with a sequel to the hit horror flick "It Follows" at the American Film Market (AFM), and it's called "They Follow."

The original director, David Robert Mitchell, is at the helm once again, and Maika Monroe is reprising her role as Jay Height. They're gearing up to start filming in 2024.

For "They Follow," Neon is teaming up with Good Fear Content. Neon's CEO, who had a hand in "It Follows," is overseeing the whole project.

David Robert Mitchell made a name for himself with "The Myth of the American Sleepover" in 2010 and hit it big with "It Follows" in 2014.

Neon is expanding its global reach, handling foreign sales for Ava DuVernay's "Origin" and has a bunch of exciting projects in the pipeline, including "Babes" by Pamela Adlon, "Ferrari" by Michael Mann, "La Chimera" by Alice Rohrwacher, and more.

AMC Welcomes “Nautilus” 🌊

The TV series "Nautilus," inspired by Jules Verne's "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" has a new home now - AMC.

This move came after Disney+ UK gave it the boot as part of their content removal plan this summer.

The show uncovers the backstory of Captain Nemo, played by Shazad Latif. They filmed it in Australia with support from the Australian government and it's distributed by Disney Entertainment.

James Dormer is the writer and executive producer, with Cameron Welsh producing and Michael Matthews taking the lead director's chair.

AMC is excited about "Nautilus," and they're calling it a sweeping drama that'll be a hit with fans of series like "Orphan Black: Echoes" and their Anne Rice Immortal Universe.

Saoirse Ronan in “Bad Apples” 👩‍🏫

Saoirse Ronan, known for her roles in "Lady Bird" and "Little Women," is set to star in a new satirical comedy-thriller called "Bad Apples."

The movie is the English language debut for Swedish writer-director Jonatan Etzler and is being launched for global sales by HanWay Films at the American Film Market.

"Bad Apples" is based on Rasmus Lindgren's debut novel and tells the story of Maria, a primary school teacher who's struggling to handle a disruptive 10-year-old student.

The film is produced by Pulse Films, and the shooting is scheduled for the UK in 2024. Ronan is currently in "Foe," a sci-fi thriller for Amazon MGM Studios.

This movie has generated a lot of buzz, thanks to its intriguing blend of satire and thriller elements, combined with Ronan's remarkable talent.

Statham & Stallone Unite in “Levon's Trade” 👨‍👧

Jason Statham is teaming up with director David Ayer for a new action movie called "Levon's Trade."

What's even more exciting is that Sylvester Stallone wrote the screenplay for this film.

The story revolves around Levon Cade, played by Statham. The film is set to start shooting in London in March 2024, and it's expected to be a thrilling action-packed ride. It's also a reunion for Statham and Bill Block, who have worked together before.

"Levon's Trade" is part of Black Bear's lineup at the AFM, and it's generating quite a bit of excitement. With Statham leading the way and the creative input of Stallone, action movie fans have something to look forward to.
