Aussie Crime Drama Goes Global 🌍
The Aussie show “Troppo” with Nicole Chamoun and Thomas Jane is making waves in Europe.
It's a crime drama based on Candice Fox's novels, and it's scoring deals left and right.
French-speaking territories will get it through Canal+ Group’s Polar+, while AMC Networks Central Europe snagged rights for various formats.
Plus, it's already on Amazon Freevee in the U.S. and doing well there.
The show follows ex-cop Ted Conkaffey, played by Jane, teaming up with Chamoun's character, Amanda Pharell, to solve a murder. The series just wrapped up its second season and is being sold internationally by Leonine Studios.

Joel Kinnaman's Silent Acting Attempt 🤐
Joel Kinnaman tried a hardcore method acting experiment for his role in “Silent Night,” a movie where his character has zero dialogue.
He planned to go completely silent for the entire shoot, even avoiding talking to his fiancée, Kelly Gale.
He told his fiancée about his silent mission, and although she was hesitant, they tried to figure it out together, even consulting their relationship coach.
In Mexico City for filming, feeling lonely and knowing no one, he couldn't resist calling Gale. Being surrounded by chatter made him realize he couldn't keep it up for six weeks.
“Silent Night” is about a father seeking revenge on Christmas Eve after losing his voice and his son in gang violence.
