Destin Daniel Cretton won't be directing “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty” anymore.

He was on board since last year but had to step back due to delays. Jeff Loveness wrote a draft, but it's unsure if someone else will take over after the writers' strike.

Jonathan Majors, set to play Kang, has legal issues causing uncertainty. The movie's release moved to May 2026 from its initial 2025 date.

Cretton, known for “Shang-Chi,” is diving into the sequel. He's also tied to Marvel's “Wonder Man,” restarting filming after the strike.

“Avengers: Secret Wars,” the sequel, is due a year later and still without a director.
