During a discussion at the CUNY Graduate Center, Nolan pointed out how Taylor Swift's documentary, "The Eras Tour," is changing the game.

Unlike traditional Hollywood studios, Swift's concert film isn't going through them. Instead, it's being distributed by the theater chain AMC.

Nolan is impressed by this fresh strategy, which lets Swift pocket a significant 57% cut of the $19.89 ticket price. Typically, that share would go to a distributor.

The results are impressive. Swift's tour documentary made around $125 million globally in just its opening weekend.

Nolan sees this as a valuable and innovative way of sharing stories and experiences, emphasizing that if the major studios don't adapt to these new distribution methods, someone else will. It's a clear sign of the evolving landscape in the world of content distribution.

Hollywood's top stars, including George Clooney, Emma Stone, Ben Affleck, Tyler Perry, and Scarlett Johansson, are trying to end the ongoing actors' strike that's been dragging on for over 100 days.

They've come up with a game-changing proposal: ditch the $1 million cap on membership dues to help strengthen health benefits and address other concerns that are bothering the union.

They also want to change how residuals are handled for streaming, making sure the folks at the bottom of the call sheet, who often need it most, get paid first.

George Clooney explained, "We've offered to remove the cap on dues, which would bring over $50 million to the union annually and well over $150 million in three years. We think it's fair for us to pay more into the union."

While this is a positive step forward, there's still a lot to sort out in negotiations. The strike's been tough on below-the-line workers, and the industry remains partially shut down.

McAvoy to Direct Film on Scottish Rap Con Artists 🎤

James McAvoy is taking on a new role as a director. His debut feature film will recount an unbelievable true story about two Scottish guys, Gavin Bain and Billy Boyd.

Back in the late '90s, they had dreams of making it big in music but were laughed at for their Scottish accents.

So, what did they do? They reinvented themselves as American rappers from California, adopting fake accents to go along with it.

McAvoy is thrilled about this project, and he's eager to celebrate the Scottish spirit and share this jaw-dropping story with the world.

The film will be produced by Homefront Productions, led by Scottish producer Guy J Louthan, and will kick off production next year, mostly in Scotland.

McAvoy is currently busy with the Blumhouse horror movie "Speak No Evil" and is set to appear in Legendary's "The Book Of Clarence."
