'Killers of the Flower Moon' Goes Global ๐

Get ready for a global cinematic journey on October 20 as Apple and Paramount join forces for the much-anticipated historical epic, "Killers of the Flower Moon." The original plan for a limited October 6 release has been swapped for a bold move: a widespread global debut.
Martin Scorsese's film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Lily Gladstone, delves into the FBI's investigation of chilling Osage murders that scarred early 1920s Oklahoma. After the theatrical run, the movie will make its way to Apple TV+. In an exciting twist, it's also hitting the big screen with Imax.
Having premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, the movie, seen as an awards contender, garnered glowing reviews. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film's three-and-a-half-hour duration weaves an escalating tragedy that grips audiences, unearthing historical erasure with potent parallels to present-day politics.
The stage is set, the date is marked: October 20. Prepare for a journey through history and human drama that spans the globe.

Doll Wars Uncovered ๐

Hold onto your hats, because the world of dolls just got seriously interesting! CBS Studios has snagged the rights to 'You Donโt Own Me: How Mattel V. MGA Entertainment Exposed Barbieโs Dark Side.' This book, written by USD law professor Orly Lobel, dives into the intense rivalry between Barbie's maker, Ruth Handler, and the mind behind Bratz dolls, Carter Bryant.
Before Barbie hit the big screen and before the writers' strike, CBS Studios nabbed this exciting story. Bratz dolls, those edgy competitors to Barbie, were born when Bryant was taking a break from designing outfits for, you guessed it, Barbie herself. Later, he sold his Bratz idea to MGA while still working at Mattel, starting a big legal mess that lasted ten years.
'You Donโt Own Me' takes us into the hidden world of the doll wars, all while the Barbie craze was changing the world. Handler and Bryant, two smart yet troubled minds, came up with dolls that reshaped everything but nearly wrecked their own lives in the process.

Late-Night Icons Launch a Podcast ๐๏ธ

Late-night hosts Colbert, Fallon, Kimmel, Meyers, and Oliver are stepping up their game! They're not just delivering the laughs on TV โ they're diving into podcasting waters with "Strike Force Five," a limited series on Spotify. Launching on August 30 and powered by Mint Mobile and Diageo, this podcast is more than just chit-chat.
What's the deal? Well, these hosts got heart! The proceeds from their podcast will lend a hand to the out-of-work late-night staff from their shows. This isn't their first rodeo though. So, what's on the agenda? "Strike Force Five" is set to run for a solid 12 weeks, and in each episode, all five hosts will jump into the conversation. They'll be passing around the mic and taking turns leading the show. Talk about teamwork!
So, whether they're cracking jokes on TV or diving into podcasting, these hosts are showing their solidarity, their humor, and their big hearts. Keep your ears tuned in, because "Strike Force Five" is set to bring the late-night magic to a whole new level!
